We were out the door around 5:45 am, but it was already 75°F and 85% humidity. So, you know: miserable!
But the sun was not even cracking the horizon yet, small blessings!
There were a few regulars out, but we were too early for the later ones. Also too early, I think, for the Attack Bird, which I did not see at all. Or it has gotten used to us! I’ll take it over being dive bombed any day.
As usual after a Wednesday spent working hard at Domi Station, my brain was mush so I crashed to bed early, which meant I woke up before 5:00 am. What a cruel world! It does mean that I am sitting down to write this before 9:00 am, though. Yes, four hours later. I don’t know why I’m not able to move faster in the morning, but I’ve never been that person. If I am awake before 10:00 am, then rest assured I am moving like cold molasses…slow and sludgy! It’s one reason I had to get up at 4:30 am when I had a day!job, so that I could walk the dog and shower and dress by 7:00 am. What takes others an hour took me nearly three. Has always been thus!
While I did take photos this morning, I was futzing around with manual settings so there was a LOT of failure involved. So glad I live in the digital world, can’t imagine how much film I’d be wasting otherwise. This photo is not what I wanted…I’m trying to figure out how to make utility poles into the characters I see them as, and I’m not there yet. But, eh, still interesting in an abstract way:
