Finally feeling back up to normal! Two days hiding in the dark with fans blowing on me and sleeping a lot worked a charm. *resigned sigh* Definitely not COVID (yay!) and mostly likely mild heat stroke (booooo!), so that means I need to be careful this summer. At least today is the equinox, meaning summer solstice, meaning that from here on out the days will blessedly start getting shorter. HURRAH!
I did manage another yoga session this morning, though. Win? Let me tell you, friends, my arms are WEAK. I would not last a day as a Gusu Lan disciple!
We didn’t get out until just before 7:00 am, but it was only 75°F (!!!) and 83% humidity, so despite the nascent sunrise it was not too stifling. Even so, Keely was panting hard by the time we made it back and has now been on her cooling gel pad in the completely darkened bedroom for the last two hours. 😂
I snapped this photo this morning…something about it represents my perception of Florida: hot, sandy, minimal shade, sun-burnt greens and grays:
(I actually wrote a much longer post than this but it was completely off-topic so I’ll post it separately sometime. Or not. My navel-gazing is never that interesting, even to me! ahahaha!)
