dawn at Lake Ella

7/3/2022 – Saturday

It’s the day before a major holiday here in the states, one where tradition dictates a lot of fireworks, and part of me is thinks that making every city sound like a war zone is very apt.

I will not be celebrating.

Instead, I’ll be doing what I always do: take Keely for a walk! Today we got out late, which is on me, as I stayed up late reading a fanfic. It was a Game of Thrones fanfic from 2015 which I find hilarious as I loathe that show. I never even watched more than a couple of episodes of it (that was enough). But! I find myself enjoying the Brienne/Jamie ‘ship so here we are. *shrug emoji*

Since we did not get out of the house until well after 7:00 am, the sun was already shining. I of course forgot my camera, so this is phone shot of some tree flowers in the morning light.

I hate the sun but I acknowledge that morning sunlight is particularly beautiful! If…warm. By the time we got home, Keely was panting heavily and I was drenched with sweat. It was only 75°F but the humidity was dank so yeah, cold(ish) shower was in order (-ish, because in Florida during summer there is no such thing as cold tap water unless it’s direct from a well). Keely is now holed up in the darkened bedroom on her cooling gel mat until further notice!
