dawn at Lake Ella

8/15/2022 – Monday

As promised, I stopped by yesterday to get a  photo of the odd and oddly expanding collection of chairs at the old Shell station at Five Corners (across from Midtown Caboose). It is not great photography in action but here you go:

assortment of bright pink and bright blue chairs

I think more alcohol has been added to the random collections scattered around the place, contributing to my assumption that it will, eventually, re-open as “some kind of bar.” *shrug emoji*

As for this morning’s walk, we got out early enough to beat the sun entirely, which was nice. Keely I think has been a little spoiled by sleeping in later, so I had to shove her around a little at 6:00 am to get her moving! Poor girl! But once out of the house she got into the groove and pranced around sniffing at everything.

We’re halfway through August which, in Florida, means we are halfway through summer, woe is us. I’m taking refuge in the sun rising a tiny bit later every day and also that this hurricane season has been a non-starter so far. Small blessings!
