Yesterday I had a doctor’s appointment in the morning (nothing serious, just a regular exam) but it threw my whole day off, as these things do. I gifted myself a leisurely brunch, then later met up with KimM to run some errands and hang out….which meant that she worked on home improvements while I camped out on her iMac and worked on my soon-to-be-released online course, “Out from Fanfic.”
This course has consumed a lot of my energy because I do not know what I’m doing. I’m having to invent the whole process from scratch, because it may be true that “record module lectures” is just one line on my to-do list, but it required weeks of creating slide decks, practicing scripts, learning how to use a teleprompter, trial-and-error lighting, and video editing. Likewise, “create worksheets” sounds easy, especially using Canva, but also ahahahhahahah NOPE.
Will it be live by the end of the month? I’ve been saying that “it will be live by the end of the month” since November so damn, I hope so!
As for our morning walk, it was cold and I did not feel well. My GERD response to bread/pasta has only gotten worse and I’m pretty sure I need to cut those foods mostly out of my diet, or just accept never sleeping soundly ever again. The thing I hate most, to be honest, is how it leaves me with an upset digestive track but ALSO leaves me so hungry. A clear sign my body is not actually digesting what it is supposed to be digesting in the way it needs to be digested. UGH.
Long and short is that it was a shorter walk, despite being a Saturday morning. Keely wasn’t too upset as the walk started at 40°F then dropped to 36°F as we went along! Totally unfair. She was ready for a warm house as much as I was. She prefers colder temps but not that cold! Ha!
Today is another photo from a couple of evenings ago, again from Los Robles subdivision. One thing I love about winter here in North Florida is that the humidity drops a little (down to 40%! Wooo hoooo!) so everything looks clear and bright in the crisp air. This was sunlight off the Spanish Moss, and it really caught my eye. I did a bit of photo processing in GIMP to bring out the real-life colors, but not much. It was pretty stunning on its own:
