Things have been hectic since I formally submitted my resignation last week, but that’s less a function of my doing so and more due to the fact that 1) it’s the first week of classes which is always hectic and 2) we’re getting ready for our new director to start on Monday. We’re still way understaffed and struggling, and I’m also doing a lot of extra stuff to help make his transition in and my transition out as smooth as possible. :/
(Faculty are being especially difficult to work with and if you are faculty in any capacity please try to work with your disability services department in order to insure accessibility for all students and DO NOT simply tell us “sorry not gonna.” Like. Why are you making it difficult for everyone? Because, my friend: YOU GOTTA. It’s actually, literally, THE LAW. You gotta.)
Okay, okay, enough griping. As you can tell, I’ve skipped writing this blog for a few days, mostly due to being slammed at work and then coming home exhausted. Another reason I will not miss the job, honestly.
But today I got to take Keely for a long, leisurely walk in the chilly but bright Florida-winter morning, and that was so nice. We got home and after her breakfast I then cruelly subjected her to a thorough brushing out. She was utterly devastated by that turn of events and yet still adorably cute so I took a photo:
I assure you that she got a treat for being a good girl once she was all de-shedded and fluffy again!
Today’s to-do list is a bit optimistic but hey, I got nothing else going on except tacos!
