Another glorious fall day in North Florida:
That was taken facing west-north-west from the Lake Ella gazebo, toward the cottages. The walk around the pond was busier this morning than usual, I guess not too surprising given the weather. It was still over 80% humidity but only 58°F, which made for a pleasant walk.
As I write this, I’m at the Midtown RedEye coffee shop, which is as usual very busy. Is it just me or are college students getting younger every year? 😂 But it is still gorgeous out, at least in the shade, and even if I’m keeping my distance it’s fun to people-watch and think about the future.
I’m still somewhat shocked that it’s October, that it’s been 7 months since I resigned from FSU, that my business The Task Mistress is launching so successfully. I keep dreaming about waking up in an beautiful but empty house (not where I currently live) and I think that is my brain’s way of saying “get ready for some changes!” Which, for the moment, I’m taking as positively as possible…
