It was, as usual, a fairly mild holiday weekend, with upper temps in the mid-70s°F and high humidity. Yet, it also looked very wintery, as witnessed by this shot I took on Friday at Lake Ella, facing north. That is the walkway out to the gazebo:
Keely did not want to go out this morning, despite the fact that it was not actively raining. In fact, she dragged me on the shortest route possible and then headed straight for home. She could tell that more storms are incoming and wanted no part of being caught out in it. My dear little Princess Paws hates getting damp!
The past three days have been spent finishing my fic for the annual Nirvana in Fire fanfic exchange, which I always participate in. It’s a super small fandom, and lives mostly over on discord now, but it remains one of my favorite shows of all time and I want to help keep the love alive! So that’s been eating up all my time and energy along with eating up all the leftovers. Ha!
Back to packing things today, as I finally got more supplies in for it. Almost done with all the books I’m willing to pack up, which is about 25 (small) boxes. This means I have cleared out the old nasty bookshelves in the living room and just need to find a way to cart them to the curb! Once that’s done I can move other shelves around and actually start creating some clear space again, I’m tired of feeling like I live a hoarder’s den. LOL!
