dawn at Lake Ella

12/28/2022 – Wednesday

Keely has been enjoying the cooler weather, but I’m glad we got a small upswing this morning — it was about 35°F, bright and sunny. I’m still holding her back until after 7:30 am so at least we do have some sunlight to offset the temperatures, but that’s more for me than for her. She’s loving this weather!

I’m still in a bit of shock as to the fact that it is nearing the end of 2022. Working on the Year Compass project, I’ve realized that I have done a hell of a lot this year, and it’s giving me some focus for going into 2023. I’m feeling optimistic about where my life is going, which feels weird, since I haven’t dared feel optimism since 2019. We all know where THAT went. So. Mixed emotions all up in here!

This photo is for my friend who, like me, loves utility poles. I was explaining to her about how here in Tally very few utilities are buried, other than water/sewage. Here’s the proof! 😁
