dawn at Lake Ella

12/4/2022 – Sunday

The “Lake Ella Missing Holiday Decorations Watch” continues, as it is now fully into the first week of December and there are still no sparkling lighted decorations hanging off the lamp-posts. As mentioned before, the braces used to support the decorations were attached to the lamp posts back in early November or so, which means that idea has not been abandoned wholesale. I’m wondering if the city got complaints for putting them up so early in years past? So curious.

It was a gray and blustery but also damp morning, with 65°F temps and 95% humidity. Ugh. I love cloudy days though and I hope we get a bit of rain out of it, we still need the water. Both Keely and I were slow moving, but we went for a long walk of about 1 hour and 20 minutes, so by the time we got home we were ready to enjoy a quiet and peaceful morning.

I took this photo of my graying girl yesterday, when I splurged for brunch at Liberty Bar (well worth it!):

Keely on the ground looking at the camera for a damn change

I’ve had her for six years now, which is nearly half her life we think; the vet guessed she was about 8 years old when I got her. I’m so happy that I’ve managed to give her a place to age happily and gracefully with lots of love and comfy beds. Don’t tell her vet but after I took this photo I let her have a little piece of the ham from my eggs benedict. 🙂
