dawn at Lake Ella

2/12/2022 – Saturday

Managed a decent bedtime, so we were out of the house by around 7:30 am. It was not cold, only about 50°F degrees, which made Keely frisky. We walked for over an hour, and I think she would have like to have just kept going but my feet were at their limit (I suspect a dire need of new sneakers, but shhhhhhhh). I snapped this photo at a nice spot and it really captures how I “see” winter in Florida: bright skies, some bare trees, and a lot of dull greens:winter view around lk ella

Today is a full day, according to my to-do list. Yesterday I worked on overhauling the website for my M/M romance pen name (Cooper West), which is…fun? For me? I don’t know why but I really enjoy putting websites together. It’s a neat collision of graphic design and technology that I find interesting and absorbing, and I realized yesterday that I feel about my websites the way most other people feel about, say, building miniature houses, or fabric arts. I never really thought of it that way, as a hobby. I certainly don’t want to do it as a job or freelance, as I have little patience for that necessary thing called “customers” nor do I want to dive into the super complex side of things like commerce integration. I just like designing my little websites. They are hardly cutting edge design but eh, I like them.

Kind of the same way I feel about my etsy store, come to think of it. I honestly don’t care if I never sell a thing. I just enjoy making the things I put up there.

Well, enough wandering pondering. I have tea in hand, time to rev up the engine (brain)!
