dawn at Lake Ella

2/26/2022 – Saturday

Yesterday really was a rest-day for me, much needed and appreciated. I fussed around with a few projects but mostly took things easy and also a nap. 😀

Today I’m feeling a bit more like myself, if still tired overall. Getting this written after our long weekend walk, which was nice if a bit slow paced, both Keely and I feeling our age, I think. It was a pretty morning though and honestly the kind of day that makes Florida worthwhile. Too bad we only get such days a few times a year!

On the last leg I passed by this marker in front of the Citrine Spa & Shop near the corner of 7th and Monroe. I’ve passed the marker for many years now, but this is the first time I noticed that it says neither “7th Ave” nor “Monroe St.”:

Tharpe St. is located a few blocks over from where I am. So either this marker was moved at some point (???? why?) or the street was moved/renamed at some point. And some point very long ago, because I can’t imagine concrete pillars were standard corner markers long past the 1930s? It’s an interesting little puzzle.
