Another night of nightmares…stress about, well, everything manifesting in my dreams. Not too surprising, the world is on fire to hotter degrees than usual and “usual” was bad enough.
But at least our morning walk was lovely. We got out around 7:30 am and the sun was already up, but alas so were the now-returned mosquitoes. I guess Bug Spray Season is upon us! I just took us around Lake Ella, which was surprisingly empty for later on a Sunday morning…if you don’t count Canada Geese. They must be feeling the spring coming up on us because they were super aggressive, hissing at us and following us as we walked by. Keely is smart enough to know not to mess with them so she tends to skitter away when they become threatening. I’ve had one attack me, once, and while I didn’t get bitten (thank goodness) I wore the bruises on my leg for a week.
Here is Keely being very tolerant of me trying to get a good photo of her:
I’m here, now, trying not to think about going to “work” tomorrow. My last week! It feels surreal. I doubt I’ll be doing much more than just being present, honestly. That’s enough, given all I’ve given to the job all these years.
