dawn at Lake Ella

3/12/2022 – Saturday

I woke up around 6:30 am, and it was gorgeous out so I was just puttering about, getting dressed…and then I checked the weather app. ACK! The temperature was dropping fast. When I woke up it was the high for the day at 65°F; by the time I was rushing out the door in several layers of shirts it was already 58°F; when we got home it was 50°F!!!!!

It was also super windy. I lost my hat a few times before I just threw my hoodie up over the hat to keep it from blowing away and freezing my face off yet again.

That said, my first impression wasn’t wrong: it was a gorgeous morning!

That’s on the north side next to the American Legion building. I was trying to just take us around the park quickly but Keely was having none of it. She steered me across the street and then up to Tharpe. She seemed very interested in the yard in front of the Scottish Rite Temple, but I nixed that and we went up through the Publix Plaza and headed home southbound on Duval.

Today I am trying to take a day off, but wow, I’m very conditioned to NOT DO THAT. Usually weekends were when I could, if I had the energy, catch up on writing and business-related things (like podcasting). Just having a day where my only obligation is this blog? WILD! Honestly I’m doing poorly at it since I decided to watch a few vids on book marketing. Ooops?

But then I’ve talked before about my lack of hobbies. I mean, working on websites is something I find enjoyable, but at this point all my websites are dialed in as much as they can be right now. I could…draw? Pick up a fiber-arts craft? I already did yoga and that kicked my ass, so…hmmmm. *ponders*
