Slept later this morning, so it was another walk-through-dawn for us. It was right at 60°F and only mildly humid so we went the long way around.
The old laundromat space in the Publix plaza is being renovated, I’m told for the 24 hour fitness gym to move over from the old Northwood Plaza. So. Another fitness studio! That makes, what, seven? Within five blocks of each other? Hmmm…Midtown Crossfit, Orange Theory, F45, Sweat Therapy, Drip Drop Fitness, Queen of Heart’s Fitness, CaliFlow Yoga Collective, and now 24 Hour Fitness…I feel like I’m forgetting something.
Has the pandemic released a violent urge for people to go to the gym????
Anyway, since we took N. Adams Street up from 3rd Avenue, I got to stop in the road to take a photo of these determined flowers hanging off the curb.
I am not an environmental photographer by any stretch but I love the juxtaposition of flowers and concrete, and the way nature breaks through our civilized hubris slowly, effectively, and continually.
