dawn at Lake Ella

3/14/2022 – Monday

Another chilly morning, but not quite as cold as yesterday. Worse, daylight savings hit last night so now even time is discombobulated. We “gained” an hour which only means that no one but our digital devices knows what time it is, actually. :/

Still having some beautiful days, though. Took this snap yesterday on our evening walk. It’s an oak tree at the entrance of Los Robles subdivision, and I really liked the play of light off the foliage and moss and bark. Look at me, all artistic n’shit!

This morning started slow because of the time change, but we got out by 8:00 am. On the way back I passed the Citrine Day Spa and saw that it was emptied out, and looks like it’s being painted inside. It’s such a strange little building, and the spa is the fourth business that has lived there since I moved here…which is not a high turnover but is also more than other businesses nearby. I’d love someone versed in feng shui to analyze it, because I think the layout is just not very welcoming. It feels like a cross between an office building and a shop and not very good at either. Interested to see if is already rented out or if it will lay fallow for a few years, as it has in past at least once.

Meanwhile, I wait for the handyman to come by “at some time today.” *sigh* There has been a micro-leak with my toilet, I think from where one of the tank bolts is deteriorating. Not something I’m even going to pretend I can DIY, and it’s been getting steadily worse, so it was time to call it in. Ah well. I work from home now, so at least I can make sure Keely doesn’t get traumatized by strangers in the house! (spoiler: she is absolutely never traumatized by strangers in the house, she usually just sleeps through the inconvenience! ahahaha!)
