dawn at Lake Ella

3/19/2022 – Saturday

Dunno why but feeling energized this morning so just jumping into my “work day” here at 8:00 am.

The walk this morning was just a short trip around the block, since there was a rainstorm inbound…technically, it is another rainstorm, as they have been passing through since yesterday afternoon. We didn’t quite catch a break, as it was drizzling a bit the whole time, but Keely at least got to empty her bladder and sniff suspiciously around the vet’s office.

In other news, the renovations at the old gas station at Thomasville & 7th continues:

The gas pump islands have been demolished, and the inside is…being stocked…maybe? There are cases of beer in the refrigerated cabinets, and a variety of small kegs behind them…coffee, or beer? Hard to say as there are also bottles of flavored syrup and bags of coffee on the (IKEA?) shelving to one side. Lucky Goat brand, I think? I can’t imagine Lucky Goat is moving from it’s high-profile location over at Monroe & 7th! On the other hand, we just had Vino Beano, a coffee-wine-CBD bar open up at the old hotel at Thomasville & 6th, so a beer-coffee shop I suppose is the next logical step. Although I still get the feeling that this is a new-small-business effort, as it is being done in spurts and starts, and has a touch of that amateur flavor to it.

Also, I was wrong about Citrine Spa! It was just doing some floor renovations and all its interiors are now back in place, so clearly it is staying open for a while yet.
