dawn at Lake Ella

4/12/2021 – Monday

My weekend was spent in hibernation. I did not check my primary email(s) and I even stayed off of twitter for the most part. I was feeling overwhelmed, but not about any one specific thing, just…overwhelmed. There are so many things I want to do and I feel like I don’t have enough time/energy for all of it and so I just shut down. Counter productive? Yes. Habit? Also yes.

*sigh*

But it’s Monday, so it’s back to attempting the impossible (this is a fandom joke; it is the motto of the Yunmeng Jiang martial arts sect in the drama The Untamed). Mostly day job projects, as usual, where I have a couple of time/energy tasks ahead of me. I do not begrudge my job but sometimes it does exhaust me. Ironically the projects requiring the most time and effort right now are not even anywhere in the same zip code of my job description…

This morning was gray and foggy, in a beautiful film noir kind of way, and I tried to capture it with my camera. But it just looks gloomy so instead, check out his happy garden that exists in front of the State Farm insurance office in the Publix Plaza:small garden

It clearly did not happen by accident, but it’s enough of an anomaly that it’s definitely not part of the plaza’s management company’s landscape maintenance plans. It sits on a plot of landscaping that runs in front of the Elder Care center, State Farm, and Hopkins Eatery. It could have been created by people working at any one of those places. It’s such a nice little place to stumble over during our morning walk on Saturday.
