dawn at Lake Ella

4/12/2022 – Tuesday

So this happened:

destroyed lake ella park sign

And I know you’re thinking, “gosh, KimBoo, looks like someone plowed into that sign with their car?” and YOU WOULD BE CORRECT! I actually took this picture yesterday morning then forgot about it, but remembered when I saw the TalGov people out there tearing the sign down. According to the tire marks, the vehicle veered off of Monroe St. about 40 feet before the sign and plowed straight into it, nose first. I did not see any scattered car parts, though, so I wonder if it was a truck and just did not get damaged? In any case I hope no one was hurt, other than the poor bushes in front of the sign.

I slept long and hard last night, I think because yesterday was a busy-brain day. I got a lot done but not as effectively as I would like, so things are still in flux regarding my schedule and how/when I approach different tasks. Today is busy as well, and I have the Secular Judaism course in the afternoon, so cue me trying to get everything done early despite sleeping in until 7:00 am!

It was a pretty morning, and still fortunately a bit cooler if also a bit warmer at 60°F. Just enough that by the time we got home at 8:00 am, the jacket I had on was making me too hot. But one thing is for sure: it’s long past time to pack up the heavy overcoat, as winter is long, long gone in these parts!
