Slept in a little due to recovering from dinner and drinks…amazing how hard alcohol hits when you hardly ever drink it! But still, we were out by 7:15 am. Keely was super unhappy walking around Lake Ella, but perked up when I detoured across Monroe and went up to the Publix Plaza, then circled up Duval back to 7th Ave. All told it was about an hour walk, and it was very nice out except for the fact that the dreaded Return of the Mosquitoes Season has begun. I need to check that I have bug spray again. UGH.
Proof of spring:
The traffic was heavier than I expected, and it wasn’t until I was past the Circle K on our way to the park that I remembered it is Easter Weekend, which here in the states is a very popular holiday, so I imagine those were people in transit to visit relatives or out doing last minute errands before the weekend begins in earnest.
I was practicing my dictation, and I think I’m getting smoother with it. I can certainly go for longer recording sessions, but I had to temper it today because of the aforementioned traffic. Loud noises like Canada Geese honking and cars buzzing past me swamp the sound so the AI transcription service I use can’t pick out the words. Or, think they are every weird words, which is always the most hilarious outcome!
I have started watching Our Flag Means Death, which is a big deal, because watching TV these days is hard for me to do. I tend to get super anxious and unable to focus. I’ve started SO many shows that I never followed up with, even if they were really good. So, I hope I make it through this one, as it sounds wonderful.
