dawn at Lake Ella

4/26/2021 – Monday

Yesterday was what is called a “Chamber of Commerce Day” — absolutely stunningly beautiful out, with pure azure skies and bright but not overbearing sunlight making all the colors crisp. The balmy, breezy weather topped it off and I have to say if there are perfect days in Florida, that was one of them. We are all braced for a sweltering summer but yesterday was worthy of noticing for it’s level of beauty.

This morning continued the theme with a lovely moon-set over the trees, everything crystal clear and languid at the same time. Of course taking a good picture of the moon with a phone cam is impossible, at least on my phone, so this is as good as it gets for you:

I actually felt awake during this morning’s walk, which is the first time in a week I have not staggered out the door with the weight of fatigue hanging around my neck. So, I guess those side effects of the second pfizer shot are nothing to sneeze at! While the exhaustion came and went in waves throughout the week, it was definitely a high tide overall. Now I feel morning-sleepy but not like I could just go lay down and go back to sleep again. Progress!

Keely was anxious to get out and belly-flopped on me in between alarms, then stretching out in morose despair when I did not immediately arise. She managed to herd me out of bed by 5:30 am, though, and given that it is a work day it was for the best. Of course NOW she’s gone back to bed, the traitor! Meanwhile I need to log into work (at least it’s wfh today).
