I’m still trying to iron out something like a schedule for my writing. Writing first thing in the morning? Writing in the afternoon? Evening? What works best?
I think writing in the morning is best, but that still leaves a lot of options, such as, right after I walk Keely? Or after I’ve walked Keely, had a cup of tea, and updated this blog? I’d honestly love to be done with my word count goal by noon, so I can spend the afternoon working on my online courses business, but so far I’ve not hit that mark (my word count goal is 3k words).
I thought you might enjoy seeing this, the outline for a book series for a book series that does not (and will never) exist. I’m writing a book that is related to this fake book series, which is meant to be over-the-top ridiculous Larry-Stu type of epic fantasy series (think of the door stop books of the 80s and 80s). I never outline as a general rule so outlining a book series that does not exist resulted in an existential crisis for me, and I went back to pen-and-paper like it was 1985 all over again:
It’s kinda hilarious to me, actually. “Vycett kinda disappears” – she’s a powerful warrior in the fake books but is “just” a sister to Aervyn, the Larry-Stu hero, and so the (fake) author ends up shoving her off-screen because, well, over the years I’ve read too many great female side characters that happens to. *sigh* “HEA (for Aervyn)” is, I think, the most damning note. Aahahahah! The joys of a writer’s life, y’all!
Oh whoops forgot to talk about our walk…maybe tomorrow!
