Another day successfully out the door by 6:00 am! Old habits die hard, indeed, even if they’ve been let lax for a bit. It was still 70°F with 90% humidity, though. WOE! Saw a couple of regulars I have not seen in a while, and one newer walker who has the most stylish straw sun hat! Classy!
Yesterday was marked by me putting off Keely, who wanted to go for a walk at 5:00 PM, which is effectively the same as high noon in Florida, for an hour to at least let the shadows get longer. I need to find a way to do a short walk for her around noon-ish so she can pee, but she’s VERY averse to peeing anywhere near our house. Other neighbors let their dogs out and the dogs immediately do their business, but not Keely, OH NO, she will not DEFILE her domicile, nope! *sigh* But taking her for a longer walk is a recipe for heat stroke for both of us. :/
In other news, the antique store I pass by on the way to Lake Ella (which I think is owned by the guy I see doing maintenance of the cottages? Anyway…) has made some changes. They pulled out the old sign post a while back, and I just noticed it has been replaced with this cute lamppost and planters (this is facing south on Monroe St.):
