Horrific news cycle yet again…how anyone can look at what happens here in the USA far too often and not see how broken our country is baffles me…I can’t even engage with anyone who would dismiss such tragedy. The people jumping in to yell “soft target!” as if the solution is to turn our schools into prisons deserve particular scorn, as they hop about like squirrels on speed screaming about “mah freedomz!!!” while eagerly proposing to lock children up for “safety” from gun wielding maniacs. Spoiler: the gun wielding maniacs are the problem, not “soft targets.”
Anyway, have a sunrise. I thought the clouds were particularly pretty:
Monday and yesterday were not, technically, productive days, but they were eventful ones. Helped a friend to-and-from outpatient surgery on Monday, followed by going to pick up my computer from Bruner’s Computer and re-setting it back up. No funky noises! Increased speed! More powerful video processing! So, $400 gone but well worth it.
Then yesterday was Mega Laundry Day — 16 loads! All in one go! At least the laundromat was empty at 9:00 am on a Tuesday! What a pleasure not to have to body check someone for a drier. That was followed up by Mega Phone Call with my friend Jeanine, which literally went for hours and I think covered most major topics in the Library of Congress Classification System. 😀
So, it’s been a week. Sorry for the lack of Keely updates around here! She’s doing fine (yay) and is napping right now. 💞
