dawn at Lake Ella

5/6/2022 – Friday

Everyone I have talked to this week have been anxiously awaiting Friday, and here it is! Congratulations! We made it!

I was feeling very low last night; I think it was the fallout of a communally stressful week (*points at politics and at fandom and my dog*), as well as me trying to remap my writing workflow to adapt to dictation as my primary writing tool. Lots of brain power and emotions in play.

Update on Keely is that the UTI/bladder infection is still hanging on. My vet sent off a urine sample to a lab for analysis, hopefully to get a better idea of which bacteria we’re fighting so we can target it accurately. Still, this whole ordeal is going on $1,000 and that’s just an added stress what with the lack of income. *sigh* But Keely’s health is important, so this must get cleared up.

Times when I’m super tired of being poor/money-stressed…

I saw this on our walk around Lake Ella commons this morning, which I found funny. People often put trash into palm trees, so that’s not special, but I find the car decal unreasonably funny:

It was a slightly cloudy morning, with some rain threatened later. A strange white man, tall and about 40ish, stopped to yell that he would fuck me up if I pointed my cane at him, so that was new and different. I simply didn’t respond and he left the park quickly thereafter, thankfully. It’s only funny because the cane is for other dogs and Canada geese, both of which have attacked Keely in the past.
