dawn at Lake Ella

6/10/2022 – Friday

I forgot my camera because I started my audio book before I left the house and got distracted (Zero: The Biography of a Dangerous Idea by Charles Seife…for someone who finds math so perplexing and inscrutable, I sure do find it fascinating), so that’s how my day’s going. However I did remember this photo I took a few days ago featuring an old wrought iron fence and an unfortunate pair of glasses:

fence and glasses

I used Affinity Photo for processing it, which I’m already starting to like, as it makes non-destructive edits so very easy.

We got out around 6:00 am and once again, it was warm and humid. Yes, I will remain bitter about that until, oh, probably December. 😑 I have also managed to find a route that skirts around the Kingbird’s territory, so while it stalks us as we walk by, it is not dive bombing Keely anymore. Have not managed to spy its nest, but given the general area, I imagine that bird is super busy all day fighting off the foot traffic nearby! ahahahah.

I suspect the fox is out and about again, as Keely fought me for a couple of detours into bushes and tried to drag me across several streets. I have not actually seen it in a long time, but that’s not too unusual. I generally only get a glimpse of it in the winter months.
