dawn at Lake Ella

6/16/2021 – Wednesday

When I think about it, I realize that being without a car makes me far more cognizant of the spinning of the seasons. In fall/winter, I mostly shower once a day in the evening, and go down to Publix after work. It’s cool enough and (often) dark enough to walk home comfortably from there.

The other 8 months of the year, though, is me rinsing off at night, full-showering in the morning (after walking the dog, even at 5 am, I am sweaty and covered in bug repellant), and going grocery shopping before work so I am walking around in the not-bright-sunlight and (relatively) cooler temps. Which is how I saw this little dude, “T-Shirt Boy,” at the Publix Plaza bus stop this morning. Isn’t he adorable???

I’m sure he’ll be scrubbed to oblivion sometime soon, but at least I caught him while he existed!

Due to trying to make it to the store before work, our morning walk was a bit earlier than it has been of late. Becky was there, but I did not see any other regulars. Keely, though, was definitely on the trail of the fox, pulling me back and forth over the sidewalk to stick her nose into bushes and then stand there, frozen, until I dragged her away. I know its her only form of adventure but I had a schedule, damnit!
