Today is Friday, which I feel the need to state clearly since I spent most of the morning thinking it is Saturday.
Of course, the irony here is that it really makes no difference to my life. I’m self-employed and work from home, so y’know, it’s not like a get “a weekend”. I do take days off! But only when I decide to, not based on the arbitrary whims of business culture. Ha!
Got to sleep on schedule last night, thankfully. The lack of sleep from the night before caught up to me and I went out like a light around 10:00 pm. Yay? Anyway we were out of the house around 6:00 am, beating sunrise by just a little. I really like how the trees here look like paper cutouts:
Keely is doing well, by the way. She’s feeling the heat, and I’m trying to push her evening walk off until at least 7:00 pm but that’s hard for her. Yet, at 5:00-ish it is still a heat index of 97°F, which is not great for either of us. I have started putting the gel cooling mat on my bed after I get up, so she can go lay on it during the day. Because Florida. *sigh*
