Yesterday was mostly spent resting. I have decided to take a hint from the ancestors and devote Saturday to not-working. I’m not particularly observant so I’m not designating it as recognizing the sabbath in any particularly religious way, but definitely in the spirit of it: abstaining from labor! It was a bit glorious. I did have fun plans that eventually did not happen, but there is always next week!
So, FYI, going forward, there will be no Keely’s Way posts on Saturdays!
I even slept in this morning, for no good reason. Fortunately, the temps have not been lethal, so when we headed out at 7:45 am it was sunny but only about 71°F with moderate humidity. We did the long-haul trek up to Third Avenue, then up Duval to the Publix plaza and back around, a good solid one hour journey. We were both a little limp by the time we got back, and I was very glad to have remembered to put on sunscreen! Keely is now sleeping it off.
As a sunny morning, though, it was a good day to take a photograph of a techno-tree:
Yes, the sky was really that blue, I did not do much color correction on the shot at all!
Today I am back at work, although I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a very laid back version of “working.” Might even have a nap in my future!
