This is how Keely “herds” me out of bed: she comes in and flops against me and waves her feet in the air until I sit up and give her belly rubs. She’s 100% awake in this photo and kicking me with her hind feet:
She accepts her due attention for a few minutes then gracelessly flops around until she gets her feet under her and jumps off the bed. I say “gracelessly” because she’s my wee little tank potato, so her leverage is mostly forward facing.
It’s Saturday, and while we got out of the house by 6:30 am, the sun was already peaking out. Keely decided to cross Monroe St. and head up Duval to the Publix plaza, then back up Monroe to home. She really likes exploring all the smells at the Sonic parking lot! It was a nice long walk but now we are huddled back in the dim apartment, waiting out the heat of day.
