dawn at Lake Ella

8/31/2022 – Wednesday

Apologies to those subscribed by email who got dupes over the last couple of days! I have moved to a new email marketing platform (Mailerlite) so I’m still adjusting the settings. *cringes*

Got an early start today because I have a lot to do. The last couple of days have been super jam-packed and also exhausting, so while that was all good stuff overall it meant a few things got shuttled to the side and now I’m picking up the slack. Good thing I love my not-job!!!!

It was a surprisingly busy morning around Lake Ella, especially given that it wasn’t even 7:00 am yet. One woman (not a regular walker) mysteriously asked me if I had seen other people walking around, but did not seem to be looking for anyone in particular. I have been stopped a few times over the years by people desperately looking for someone, a relative or friend, and my heart always lurches because it’s clear the person looking for them is terrified that something terrible has happened. I always hope they found their person safe and sound.

Nothing interesting caught my eye to photograph, so instead I thought I’d post an image of one of my mandalas as it goes through the process of being colored in. This represents about three hours of talking on the phone. Thanks to CleverManka for the color theme suggestion! Sorry for the crappy lighting, the photos were taken on the fly at my drafting table, and Affinity Photo can only do so much! 😂
