Another lovely morning, although the humidity was up a smidge. Still, any day below 70°F is a good day in my book!
If you don’t follow me on socmed (FB or twitter, mostly) then the update of note is that I got the new COVID booster shot on Wednesday. It was the Pfizer Bivalent, which makes it my fifth Pfizer dose (the two initial shots, plus three boosters). I did not have any serious reactions, fortunately, but it did almost immediately knock me down with extreme exhaustion. I got the injection at 12 pm; by 1 pm I was falling asleep standing up. I got to bed after lunch and aside from a few dazed dog walks I stayed in bed until yesterday afternoon! Even when I woke up I was still feeling sluggish and suffering brain fog, so yesterday was a wash. I played simple computer games and watched a few episodes of Hotel Del Luna before giving up and going back to bed.
This morning I feel completely back up to speed, though, so it wasn’t too bad after all!
We walked before dawn and there were only a few other people out and about. Nothing caught my eye to photograph, so here is a shot from earlier this week. It’s the collapse of a berm next to the sidewalk, and is interesting as it shows what is really underneath what looks like a grassy slope:
