It’s been awhile since I posted a photo of Keely, so here you go! Taken earlier this week when my friend Gina and I were eating on the porch at Venebites (yum!). The woman at the register saw I brought my doggo and hunted down an old plastic container to give her some water! Keely makes friends wherever she goes!
In fact, I’ve literally been chased down the street by people wanting to know what breed she is and where I got her. As much as I’m tempted to mess with them by making up some breed and claim she’s super exotic and rare (I mean, she’s definitely rare!) I always let them know she’s a rescue mutt. I’m proud of her; she’s come so far from the trembling, wary, confused dog I picked up at a farm in 2016!
In other news, Lucky Goat Midtown has some wacky hours for the past two weeks: M-Thurs, 7 am – 3 pm. A planned break or just low staffing? I mean, the staff there turns over a lot, but on the other hand, that is true for most coffee shops. They plan to return to regular hours this Friday. At least for now?
Lemon & Thyme is open, by the way! They are a luncheon spot at the Manor at Midtown where the old Fox & Stag bar used to be. Apparently their specialty is salads, which I admittedly do not eat enough of, so I look forward to trying them out!
