This morning was rushed as I both overslept and also wanted to be at Publix when they opened at 8am. Not that I expected a run on anything I needed, although I’ve heard that fresh meat can still run out on some days.
I dropped nearly $200 but the groceries will last me two weeks, for sure. I also was aiming for better quality, now that I have confidence in the supply lines. (Mostly I want to cut processed sugar out again, as I feel so much better when I do!)
So, we got a little more sun than we are used to, being out at 7 am. Traffic was flowing steadily, packs of 10-20 cars rolling by with every light change. Plenty of cars sitting at the Sonic drive thru, too.
As the covid19 numbers grow exponentially in the USA, and especially in Florida, I wonder what it will take to keep people AT HOME.
It was a brisk and clear 50°F this morning, after the rain storms that punched through yesterday afternoon. A peach colored sky.
There were small rivers of pollen draining into the gutters, and good riddance. I’m sure there will be more of the scourge but I’m glad we at least had one solid wind-and-rain event to hammer down what was hanging in the air.
Keely loves cooler weather so she was happy to do the bigger loop, circling around the commons and over to Lake Ella Drive. The Chandler House was lit up again, but still no signs to hint at what is going to open there. A car pulled up to Black Dog Cafe but then turned around and left.
Nothing is settled these days. We have no idea where this is all going, what is open, what is closed, what we need to do.
