I did, fortunately, remember that it is Monday and I have to be on the clock by 8am but that does not mean I was timely about it! We were both lazy, Keely in an unusual fit of sleeping in late, until 7am.
Dishearteningly, there is so much traffic still. I do believe a good portion are people going to essential jobs — even one of my own neighbors works at the closest hospital, and her schedule is erratic right now. Still, I also know of actual people who have been told they may WFH if they choose and they choose not to. Combined with the house party I saw in the Los Robles subdivision and the number of people not just getting gas but buying snacks at the Circle K, I have to admit to mild despair.

It was a beautiful morning, despite all my existential moroseness. Bright and clear sky, and only mild humidity and mosquitoes…though it will be time soon for me to start using bug spray again before going out.
