It’s really obvious to me when we get out around 5:30 am instead of 6 am — the start of our walk was quiet and the whole of Lake Ella park was empty, but by the time we made it halfway around, most of the regulars had shown up. I have to guess that most of them leave their houses at 5:30 and head to the park (in their cars, of course!). Duck Guy, Speed Jogger (formerly Speed Walker), Persistent Jogger, and Safety Vest Dude were all there!
I have not seen Have a Nice Day Guy in ages, but then, he was usually done with his walks and exercises by 5:30 am so that’s probably on me. Since I started working from home in March, it has been less important to get out that early due to a vastly shortened commute!
Keely was not of a mind to walk through the Cottage Commons so we stuck to the sidewalk close to the pond itself the whole way around, but she was definitely feeling lively about it. Probably due to the cold(er) weather, of course.
I’m still feeling a bit disconnected from things…I’m weighed down by current events, and even my beloved fandom pursuits are not bringing in the joy. I hope it’s just a mood that passes soon.
