dawn at Lake Ella

3/23/2021 – Tuesday

The workflow for using my own site for this is a little different, but I think I’m getting into the groove of it now. WHEW.

It was another quiet morning, but I slept poorly so we were not out the door until 6:30 am, which was not too bad but there were a few people walking around the park already so I did my Mandarin practice but not my singing practice. I do not know why I’m so shy about singing. My mother had a wonderful voice, a true soprano who could sing along with basically anything once she heard it. (It’s tragic how broad and deep her natural talents were, and how destroyed she was by mental illness. In another life I can imagine her being a successful musical actress…I’m sure she actually imagined that a lot!) My singing is bad mostly because I’ve never practiced it. Self-fulfilling prophecy and all that!

So, no singing on the walk, but that’s fine, I did do that later when we got home. It was still cool out and rather pleasant aside from the honking, horny ducks. Ah, spring.

I took this photo of the azaleas in front of the police headquarters yesterday, which is an amazing visualization of spring, no?sea of white azalea flowers

As for sleeping poorly, it seems to be endemic this week for some reason. Planets out of alignment, magnetic fields gone wacky, heck I don’t know, but everyone I know is having trouble with sleep. I’m sure it’s not related to pandemic and economic stress at all, right? ha. ha. ha.
