Hurricane Day! ….or not quite, as Elsa quickly reverted to a tropical storm once it got close to the coast, and most of the bad weather is east of the eye, so in short we’ll get some rain here in Tallahassee but nothing serious.
Keely, nonetheless, is displeased about the weather and while it was not raining when we went out for a walk at 6 am, it was definitely “storm weather” with winds and high humidity and that weird skin pressure you feel before it hits. I had to drag her out the door and then keep her moving; she kept stopping along the way to glare into the distance. Is she a minor weather god? MAYBE.
As we went through the cottage commons I noticed a new sign hanging over the porch at the old Kitchenables location: Garden & Graze. You can just make out the words here in this photo, but it was too dark to get a good impression of the sign without a close up:
I assumed it was a shop for supplying/teaching how to grow your own food, but apparently it’s a florist who also sells charcuterie boards…? Which might be a good fit for the cottages.
