Wednesday is past the half-mark for me, as I am taking Friday off. One more day to go! Off to a better start by not stabbing myself in the wrist (do not recommend!) or getting stranded at the bus stop.
Yesterday even got weirder as there was a full departmental meeting (meaning, the whole department of which OAS is a part) and my resignation was announced. So, it’s all about as official as it can be before the paperwork is signed. *let’s out long breath* Am I scared of the future? I am! Am I still confident that I can pull this off! I (mostly!) am!!!!
I am not expecting miracles, but I do hope I can pull things together in a tight time frame. I was on one of the (few) writer’s forums I participate in and there are so many people there making money off their books, but over and over and over again it is pointed out that doing so only comes from consistency — writing and publishing stories on a regular basis. My very specific gamble here is that not having a day job will give me time/energy to publish regularly.
Our walk this morning was pleasant, but I got caught up in listening to one of my books (I love audible!) so didn’t take any photos. However I have this one I took over the weekend, which I really liked the way the “negative space” worked with the dark, shadowed tree branches, so enjoy my plebian artistic efforts!
