dawn at Lake Ella

2/3/2022 – Thursday like a Friday!

I have tomorrow off from work, burning up some of the time I have saved and can’t cash out (b/c the system is rigged, yo’). Although to be fair, I need it, too. One of the main reasons I’m quitting this job is due to the spike it gives my generalized anxiety and the misery I experience working in an environment that dehumanizes its staff on the regular. I can tell it’s affecting me because it was so hard to just get out of bed this morning. I was awake! But absolutely not motivated in any way, shape, or form.

So! Days off for me!

Which makes today my proverbial “Friday”, and while I have a few things to work on I’m also not on a deadline for any of them…well, at least in regards to day!job. I have a to-do masterlist in notion.so that is jam packed with things I can be doing! I’m excited for that.

No photo today; I supposed I could pull an older one but eh, nothing caught my eye as I was scrolling through my roll.

An interesting note I made as I walked around Lake Ella is that the number of bright-white LED lights in the lamp posts have gone up again. I think when I started this blog there were, maybe, five or so around the pond. Now there are at least 12, spaced out every third or fourth lamp. Yet, the super-bright LEDs put up in the gazebo remain off  (for which I’m grateful). The LED lights do make things clearer and are leagues brighter than the old incandescent lights, but I do admit, they do not create the same charming atmosphere. Ah well. :/
