This morning was a totally involuntary early start. I snapped awake at 4:30 am, and I was really confused by that until I realized how quiet it was. Which is not how I roll, generally, as I live in the middle of a city and so I have a sound machine I run all night to filter out noise. Apparently I woke up because the sound machine turned off, along with everything else because the electricity went out. ????? There is a storm moving over us now (three hours later) but not at that point, so it was weird.
I laid there for a bit but there was no going back to sleep, and Keely decided since I was up we might as well go for a walk. Good call on her part, because it was already drizzling by 5:15 am when we headed out. We almost made it, but the last two minutes on the home stretch, literally a block from home, the skies started pouring down. Keely got soaked and is now pouting on my bed (on towels I laid down, thankfully!).
There is no photo from this morning. I was half asleep and listening to the lo-fi hip hop channel as we stumbled around the park in the rain, so instead, have this photo of Keely from the weekend. Honey, that is not how this works:
She’s generally pretty sharp and can untangle herself from things but in this case she was just stumped and I have no idea why! 😂
I am off later this morning to head to Domi Station for Women Wednesdays with Gina. She’s got a full schedule but I’m just looking forward to being out of the house!
