dawn at Lake Ella

3/24/2022 – Thursday

I really got into listening to my latest book (The Ark Before Noah, which is delightfully read by the irascible author himself) so I forgot to look for a good photography subject. Instead, here is an interesting natural grotesquerie I found last week. It’s fascinating and disconcerting and it just caught my eye:

Seems that no sooner do I decide to make some changes to my schedule than my schedule gets all helter-skelter. Yesterday it was on purpose, as I was joining my friend Gina for the co-working Women Wednesdays at Domi Station. I really like it there, and while I am not interested in going there every day as some people clearly do, I like the mid-week break from the same-four-walls syndrome I have working from home. The down side is that due to the super early wake up call in the morning, by late afternoon I was crashing hard. Should have taken a nap! Instead I powered through doing a lot of nothing until my regular bedtime, but I can’t tell you now what I actually did, ahahahaha!

Today, though, it was more rain that derailed our usually scheduled morning walk. Keely got breakfast first and then a walk later, and even waiting until nearly 9:00 am, we still caught some of the lingering drizzle. She got damp, but not as wet as yesterday morning, so I count it as a win. But it threw me off my planned schedule just enough to make me feel like I’m free-wheeling it. I’m NOT, but it felt that way when I sat down to get some writing done. This is being written at 11:30 am, though, which is LATE. 😬

The good news is that I am getting writing done!
