One thing people warned me about which I have found to be very true is that working for myself means I’m very easily distracted by ALL THE THINGS that need to be done. Work on a website? Develop digital products to sell? Write fiction novels? Edit podcast(s)? Post this blog???
It all becomes 20 plates spinning rapidly and suddenly the morning is gone and I’m on my third cup of tea…
Keely, however, remains unbothered:
It’s going on noon and I think my mood is well represented by this circa 1982 Japanese soft-pop album. Get yer groove on!
Our walk this morning was very nice, still a little cool at 61°F, and I will be enjoying that for as long as I can. I even opened up the front door (with the doggy gate up) so Keely could look out and bark randomly at stuff. I still marvel at her barking at all, honestly, since it took over two years before she would bark at all, and four years for her to feel safe and empowered enough to bark at the mail carrier. I’m just happy she’s happy!
Her UTI has not cleared up, so they are changing out her meds, which I need to go pick up soon. She continues to be unbothered by it, as best I can tell, so that’s a small mercy.
