It was such a lovely morning! Only 58°F and very low humidity (that is, less than 50%, which is downright arid for Florida), so while there were still a few mosquitoes about, it was a refreshing walk for both of us. I spent most of it listening to Dan Pink’s book When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing, which was timely recommended to me by a friend, as I am still struggling to find my optimal “life schedule” now that I don’t have a day!job dictating my hours.
It’s hard to make changes to a schedule that has been ground into you for the majority of your adult life, especially when the formative years were spent in an “unschool” environment where I never had to get out of bed until I woke up naturally. What a life!!! I wonder what that would look like now…I don’t know, but at the moment, I’m not sure my body/mind knows either. Habits are hard to break, y’kno’.
Anyway, I was absorbed in listening to the book and did not take in any photos. Instead, I want to share my daily view from my desk, which is probably the BEST part of quitting my day!job:
Honestly if FSU had let me bring Keely into the office chances are good I might not have quit, ever! ahahahaha, no, I would’ve quit anyway but eh, my work days might have been better. 🙂
