Mixed blessings on this morning’s walk: it was only 58°F but it was also nearly 90% humidity, soooo…cool, but a touch clammy. :/
Took this shot at the corner of Duval and 7th, facing east (obviously). Just really liked the lighting and the trees.
Went by the old Sōdough bakery last night and it’s been gutted just short of knocking down the interior walls, so not sure anymore what might go there. Still a good lunch shop location, but I don’t think a retail store will do as well.
In more “This is America” news, a new billboard went up advertising a law firm. Won’t take a pic of it as I’m not here to name-and-shame or anything, it’s just a plain billboard with a photo of the lawyer, but it advertises that he will help with “Family | Accident | Apartment Shootings” which tells you a lot about the state of life in a college town. Honestly shootings don’t even make much news around here unless more than one person gets shot, or it’s part of some bigger drug bust. Makes sense that people need lawyers for that, but…yeah, very grim.
