For those keeping up, I’ve been suffering “tennis” elbow in my left (dominant) arm for a few weeks. It’s actually “computer” elbow, and fortunately I’m slightly ambidextrous so I’ve shifted my mouse back over to my right hand. However that still left typing, and apparently, the angle I usually work at and the repetition of typing puts undue stress on that arm. I’ve been using a tennis elbow arm brace, as well as k-tape, but the biggest improvement happened when I installed an arm rest to support the arm while I work. It’s fully articulated so my arm can still move normally as I work. It’s been a big improvement.
In OTHER news, we have NEW DUCKS at Lake Ella! This was so unusual that several of us walking around the pond stopped and talked about it, as we’ve never seen them before (and remember I’ve been walking around this pond regularly for over 10 years). They are very small and very aquatic, in the sense that they do a lot of long underwater dives, which the regular ducks down there do not. Here is the flock swimming away from me very fast:
I tried to get a close up of their unique head coloring, which from the side is wedge-shaped with a big white spot, but my phone camera is just not that good. They are otherwise black (or perhaps dark brown?). Everyone is very curious about them and I wonder if they will be sticking around or if this just a layover.
