It was a nice chilly morning, just about 45°F, so I was layered up and wearing gloves like a proper Floridian. I can tell Keely is getting older as she was excited to go out but moved pretty slowly once we were out in the windy cold.
One interesting thing I’ve noticed is that the holiday decorations have not been installed on the lamps yet. The braces are there, as I noted last month, but so far, no decorations. As I remember from years past, the decorations have gone up as early as mid-November. I don’t remember them ever waiting until after Dec. 1st…my memory could be wrong, but still. I would assume they would go up the day after Thanksgiving?
As for the Mystery Ducks at Lake Ella, thanks to a friend on dreamwidth, I now know they are Hooded Mergansers!
In other news, the old Shell statin building at the corner of Thomasville and 7th, which has been just a storage unit for Vino Beano lately, is back to advertising itself as a “Farm Stores Coming Soon!” location, weirdly enough by parking a van there. Here’s a partial shot I took to get the replaced sign in the background:
Today I have a lot of things to do…where did the week go?
