I’ve been on livejournal for years, and then I shifted over to dreamwidth, and I also have my Year of Living Dangerously blog and my professional writing blog and…now this. Argh?
The reason for this blog is to serve as a catch-all for the writings and observations I make which don’t fit easily into the above categories. My lj/dw accounts are mostly for close friends and fandom musings; AYoLD is about and for grief survivors; my pro blog is, well, about my writing.
That’s actually leaving a lot out, such as my interests in information (library) science, my paleolithic-ish food and lifestyle choices, and my many other projects I am involved in. So, be forewarned: the writings here are unabashedly my opinions on a wide variety of matters, some of which are benign and most of which are not. That said, I’m not posting just to start arguments; I’m writing because that’s what I know how to do when I want to share something.
Unlike some of my other projects, this blog is intended to be, in the parlance, work-safe. However, I will discuss issues that some people don’t find very comfortable reading about, and/or disagree with violently. That’s your right, but this is my space so I get to do what I want.
