Ahhh, that time again! More from Wolves of Harmony Heights, mostly because that’s all I’ve been working on. Excerpt is below the fold — and remember, “Sunday Six” pullouts are spoilery by default, so read with caution! Also, warning for a little bit of risque prose. Just a little! *grins*
This is from a scene in chapter 8 where the werewolf, Hardey, and the Hunter, Brandon, think they are trying to have a conversation. It does not really go how either of them expect:
Hardey looked so sincere, his eyebrows creased with worry, that Brandon could see what he would have been like as a father. He wondered why Hardey never went that route, it was a good look on him. But then, he was always the responsible one between them, of course we would make a great father for damn near anyone. Brandon was the rebel. He picked at that thought for a moment then decided what the hell. He walked over and leaned down to hold Hardey’s face in his hands and kissed him. Surprised, Hardey took in a gasp and froze, but only for a moment before he pushed into Brandon’s hands and his mouth, seeking out his tongue and slicking them together.
