Dragon's Grail
An Ongoing Serial
Dragon’s Grail is an epic fantasy serial about a woman who finds her power later in life, a slow-burn romance amidst the ruins of history, and a journey to uncover the truth behind the legends.
Astra wanted a life of silence. Her gods had other plans.
For most of her life, Astra has lived at the Qordashi Monastery, eventually moving up in status from novitiate to serve as the Head Librarian of the Tilted Library. At 45 years old, she's content to hide away from the world, sheltered by her faith, books, silence, and secrets—the darkest being that she is a "crypt-keeper," a necromancer, wielding a forbidden magic that allows her to hear the whispers of the dead.
But when an unprecedented war destroys her sanctuary, Astra is thrust into a frozen wilderness she is ill-equipped to survive. Forced to flee with a childhood friend-turned-thief and a distrusting (and possibly untrustworthy) enemy soldier, she finds herself the reluctant guardian of the legendary Dragon’s Grail—an artifact of immense power that the entire world is hunting.
To protect her charge and complete her mandate of reaching the distant dragons' realm of Firestate, Astra must shed the safety of her vows. As she travels a road paved with ancient myths and dangerous politics, she realizes that the only way to survive the coming storm is to embrace the very power she has spent a lifetime suppressing.

An Unfolding Epic
Dragon’s Grail is written and released as a serialized saga. You can follow Astra’s journey chapter-by-chapter as it is written on my fiction blog, The Bibliotheca, joining a community of readers experiencing the mystery in real-time.
For those who prefer a completed version, the story is being collected into volumes available in ebook and print. Whether you walk the road week-by-week or binge the collections, the destination remains the same.
BEGIN THE PILGRIMAGE
Arc 1: Escape from Ice Mountain
Escape from Ice Mountain marks the start of an epic tale, one where a middle-aged fish-out-of-water librarian (and necromancer!) navigates love, betrayal, and the complexities of power as she struggles to embrace her destiny.
Arc 2: The Lost City
The Lost City is the second arc of my ongoing fantasy serial. Astra and her companions have escaped into the undead Blue Forest but now have to find their way out, while avoiding the snow dragons chasing the dragon’s grail!
Arc 3: The Dukes of Odwego
The Dukes of Odwego is the third arc of my ongoing fantasy serial. Astra and her companions are still evading capture when they come upon the majestic river Hoshikwazu. Traz takes a turn for the worse and the trio end up seeking shelter and medical attention in the river town of Odwego…for good, and for bad!
